Club Shandy, a proudly Namibian bottled beer shandy blend, expressed an interest to Techsys Digital to reinforce its effortlessly cool image.
Despite having almost 13 000 Facebook Likes, they had comparatively less consumer data. The solution? A simple Facebook application, driven by Facebook pay per click advertising. The application simply requested the user’s mobile number to receive an SMS zing back with a USSD string.
The USSD survey asked consumers about their “ten minutes of me time” and what it means to them. The campaign resulted in a 79% increase in the brand’s database in a short six week duration.
